Christmas Party Team Member – Seasonal Position

You’ll report to the Events Manager, assisting the Head Chef, in being responsible for serving food to our guests, clearing plates and glasses, and replenishing all cutlery and crockery ready for all following parties.

You will work alongside the in-house Customer Service team, with a high standard of customer service required.

It is required that you are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, are proactive and that you present well for all guests. You are expected to be available for each Christmas Party.

Please note that this is a temporary role, however there may be the opportunity of a permanent role made available in the New Year.

Key Responsibilities

Christmas party nights will be held on 27th & 28th November, as well as 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, 17th, 18th & 19th December, beginning at 19:00. The expectation is that successful candidates will work all the events.

  • Greet and engage with customers, ensuring they feel genuinely welcomed to the venue and treated appropriately as an important and valued guest.
  • Deliver excellent food service for each Christmas Party.
  • Work with team members to create a friendly and welcoming environment and culture.
  • Proactively identify risks to customers or staff, whether that be a job requirement, or could impact health, safety or security, to then take appropriate actions to keep everyone in attendance safe.
  • Work collaboratively as a team member, working well with others to ensure all required tasks are completed.
  • To serve food, clear plates and glass, and assist with washing everything through our dishwasher, in preparation for future parties.

Please note that you may be offered additional hours both upstairs in our Theatre, and for any further functions that are booked in throughout the Christmas period.

Your Skills, Qualities, and Experience.

If you are able to demonstrate many of the essential criteria, we encourage you to apply, and welcome transferable skills from other industries or backgrounds. We can give experience of any desirable criteria but may also use them to decide between candidates for this role.

  • Have experience of working in the food service industry.
  • Have the ability to remain flexible and calm whilst working under pressure and within time constraints.
  • Have a great work ethic, and a care for quality.
  • Be observant and focussed on the customer.
  • Relate well to others.
  • Communicate effectively to your colleagues, and management.
  • Be flexible and reliable with working hours; varied hours will include evenings and weekends.
