Sonia Friedman Productions is seeking applications for the position of Deputy Head of Wardrobe to work on the West End production of Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck’s THE LIVES OF OTHERS, adapted and directed by Robert Icke.
Responsibilities include working as part of the team in the maintenance, repair and alteration of all costumes on the production, to maintain the look of the production as designed. Other responsibilities include dressing performers prior to and during rehearsals and performances and other performance-related activities, working as part of an efficient and successful department and liaison with all other departments on the production and associated personnel.
Candidates will require relevant hands-on professional experience in a wardrobe department, a high level of sewing skills, the ability to work under pressure and within a team, good interpersonal and communication skills as well as strong organizational and time management qualities.

Contract Type: Fixed term until Saturday, 9th January 2026
Salary: Weekly rate as per SOLT/BECTU agreement.
Weekly Hours: 6 day working weeks (Monday to Saturday); 8 shows per week plus maintenance and understudy calls.
